The spba Young Professional Mentor Graduation Dinner was held at the Bomaderry Bowling Club on Friday 29th June 2018. The event was an evening of celebration, networking and support for the amazing young professional mentees and their mentors who hailed from a variety of organisations from within the Shoalhaven Region.

Guests enjoyed a "Constructive Debate inspired by Edward de Bono" - with the topic "What are some practical steps we can take to convince the community of the vital role that enterprise performs in the Shoalhaven community".

The Panel consisted of Dr Rachel Otter - Venus Shell Systems, Matthew Harwood - Harwood Acoustics, Kay-Lea Edmiston - Quest Apartments, Rob Satchell - Coast Allied Health and Andrew Truran - Consultant Engineer. All Panel Members had previously graduated through the Young Professional Mentor Program.

The Economic Development Office of Shoalhaven City Council congratulates this years, and previous years Mentorees and extend our thanks to all of the Mentors that have made this program so successful.

The key to positive thinking is developing new concepts, whether this means coming up with a brand new idea or just looking at an existing one in a new light.

If we make a deliberate and positive effort to change our thinking we can secure a positive future, and we can harness the focused power of human thinking by releasing it from the pettiness.

- Edward de Bonno (1979) Future Positive.
