New bridge more than halfway across the Shoalhaven River

Fri 10 Dec 2021

The new four lane Nowra Bridge has passed the halfway milestone with 11 of the 19 bridge deck segments launched across the Shoalhaven River.

The bridge is expected to reach the northern foreshore of the river during early 2022, weather permitting. Once the it crosses the entire river months of work will still required before cars can drive on the new bridge and this includes adjusting the temporary bearing plates under the bridge, installing barriers, building a road embankment, paving the decks, and installing signs and line marking.
