Giant Girders on route to Meroo Meadow

Tue 16 Apr 2019

A huge part of the 450 million dollar Berry to Bomaderry, Princes Highway upgrade will fall into place later today with the arrival of the girders for the Tullian Creek bridge.

Each girder weights 50 tonnes and are 31 metres long.

Kiama MP Gareth Ward said they are in transit from Newcastle. "They're literally coming through the region right now under police escort and they'll be arriving at Tullian Creek in Meroo Meadow later this morning. "They'll be lowered into place so that we can deliver the platform for the Tullian Creek Bridge.

"We apologise for any of the inconvenience caused as part of this project," he said.
