Building Business Relationships with the spba

Thu 09 Aug 2018
Listening to successful business people tell their stories is not only intensely interesting, it can also re- invigorate your motivation and determination to shine.

The Shoalhaven Professional Business Association  ( spba ) was established  almost a decade ago, with the aim of allowing highly qualified specialists to network, build relationships and further their careers.

Association members include accountants, architects, engineers, lawyers, surveyors and town planners.

They  meet for breakfast at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre 5 times a year, with a variety of guest speakers from local businesses throughout the Shoalhaven.

SPBA Chairman Steve Bayer, says the organisation has grown strongly in the last 12 months and averages an attendance of 50-60 people at the bi-monthly breakfasts.

''Mr Bayer says the association enables members to share business stories, work through issues and grow their network of connections.

He says it is crucial for professionals to be a member of a business network like the SPBA, even though they may be in competition''.

The association also runs a mentoring program, where members with years of experience under their belts, share their knowledge with younger professionals.

Anyone interested in joining the association, should contact Stephen Bayer at Edmiston Jones Architects in Nowra, or check the  webpage www. Shoalhavenprofessionals.com
