East Nowra Boys Shed "Back to basics" project

Wed 23 May 2018

The owners of many local businesses have tools and equipment in their workshops which they no longer have a need for.

Now those tools and equipment can be re-birthed and  put back to use.

A new project has been launched at the East Nowra Public School to help local kids ' get back to basics ' , but the project needs our assistance.

The ' Boys Shed ' is the brainchild of the School's Mentor and Learning Support Officer Wayne Ardler.

The Shed is being set up as a workshop, where boys can learn the basics of carpentry .

To get the project off the ground the shed is looking for un-wanted tools and things like nails, screws and other hardware. ( and let's be honest most of us have things siting around our backyards sheds we have not used for ages )

Items  which are needed are a generator, drop saw, handsaws, solar panels and batteries, battery operated power tools, hammers, ladders, saw horses, tool belts, garden tools, wheel barrows, and paint brushes and rollers.

To get the project off the ground Bomaderry's Hanlon Windows has donated some tools and items of hardware.

If you are unable to get  the items to the school pick up can be arranged.

If you can help,  contact Wayne Ardler or one of the ladies on the switch at the East Nowra Public School 4421 3539
